Mr. Edward D. Harper
Lambton, 4 août 2024
1951 – 2024
With heavy heart, we announce the passing of Edward Donald Henry Harper (Ed) on August 4th, 2024, at the age of 73. Ed passed away at his beloved cottage, a place he built, maintained and cherished throughout his life.
A devoted husband to Wendy Gill, a loving brother to Dana Harper (Carole), and a proud father to Guillaume Champeau (Franziska), Ed was a family man that always made sure to be there for his loved ones.
He was also a dedicated entrepreneur, who founded his own business and traveled the world with his work. Ed will be remembered as a man of many talents. His love for carpentry, mechanics and engineering reflected his passion for complex challenges and hands-on work.
But above his passions and his successes, Ed was simply a humble man with a big heart. He will be deeply missed as his legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of those that knew him.
A private funeral will take place later this fall.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation: Heart and Stroke Foundation Canada

So sorry for your loss
I am so sorry for your loss; my thoughts are with all of Ed's family and friends. I had the pleasure working with him at Brunway Construction in Fredericton, he was a gentleman and a scholar with a great sense of humor.Tracy Long

My sincere condolences
Although we did not stay in touch since we worked together at the highway 30 project in Montreal, Ed left a profound mark in me as a newly arrived engineer to Canada. He was a great professional, easy to work with and with a great sense of humor. Despite our different positions in the project, we were always able to find a way to agree on the solution. To his family and close friends, please accept my most sincere condolences. May his soul rest forever in peace.
