Speck, Carl Waldo (May 12, 1930 – July 20, 2023) died peacefully at the Hôpital Fleurimont (CHUS) with family by his side after a long and well-lived life. Pre-deceased by his beloved wife of 57 years Glenna (Stronach) and fondly remembered by his three cherished children, Randy (Debby McLeod), Dannie (Patti Elvidge), and Linda (David O’Neill).
Devoted grandfather to Greg Speck, Katie Speck (Tom Singleton), Sean O’Neill (Chelsea Kusnick), Erin O’Neill (Melanie Cox), Andrea O’Neill (Ben Lenders), and Cheryl O’Neill and great grandfather to Ben and Nick Singleton, and Luke Lenders.
Sorely missed by long-time friend and companion Doreen Cairns.
Survived by dear sisters Ina Hamilton and Lois Szabo, and in-laws Graydon and Simone Stronach, Chick and Gloria Stronach, Lois and Carroll Buzzell, and dozens of nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by siblings Lloyd, Everett, Gerald, Rowena, Alma, Pauline, and Charles, sister-in-law Shirley Sayers, and son-in-law David O’Neill.
In his later years, Carl resided at the Grace Village Seniors Residence .The entire family would like to thank the Grace Village staff for their kindness and warmth.
All who knew him will miss his kind, easy-going nature, his generosity and willingness to help, and his sense of humour.
A celebration of Carl’s life will be held at the Lennoxville United Church on Saturday, July 29th at 11 AM, with visitation at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Grace Village Care Foundation (formerly Dr. W. J. Klink Foundation) or Maple Leaf Cemetery Inc (℅ Linda Fisk, 67 Robert Peel St., Sherbrooke, QC J1M 1X5 )

Remembering Carl and sisters from our days at school in Sawyerville and again knew Carl when we were both employed at Sherbrooke Hospital. He was such a dedicated worker and a great person.Ina, you and I were great school pals!
