My heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends. I grew up in Greenwood NS as a teenager and knew gord and three of his sons. I was fortunate to be on several of his sports teams ( Hockey, Football, volleyball ) and remember him fondly as a spirited, driven, and educational leader. Always trying new techniques ( Soviet style ground training for our hockey team) and plays to enlighten us jocks!!! Gord spent so much time with us. He was amazing in his dedication and tenacity. Sometimes we didn’t see eye to eye but we loved his commitment and knowledge. I will always remember him fondly and feel sorry for the tough attitudes I often gave him in return. He was an amazing man and this earth has surely lost one of her finest. Rest In Peace my old friend xoxDane McCaffery
