I knew Doug while in university at Bishop's. In 1972 we traveled down to Florida together. Unfortunately after graduation we lost touch.
My sympathy to both sons and families. May he rest in peace.

Hello. A mutual friend just forwarded me the news of Doug's death. I am very sorry for your loss. Assuming you are his sons, Doug and I went to school together at Sunnyside in Stanstead. He was a year behind me. We shared an apartment in Lennoxville during our second year at Bishop's (1971-72). Once we graduated and went our separate paths, I lost all touch with him. I remember Doug's quick intellect and dry sense of humor. I spent many hours playing bridge with him, your mum and your grandmother. Your mother and I were neighbors growing up in Stanstead and spent many hours playing together. I have also lost touch with her.

I once read a passage by J.M. Barrie in which he said: God gave us memory so that we might have roses in December. Cherish the memories.
