It is with shock and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert B. McGourty in his 80th year, on Thursday January 21st, at the CHUS Fleurimont.
He was predeceased by his mother Stella (Moran), his father Michael, and brother John. He leaves to mourn his loving wife and best friend Pauline Rowe, and his brother Brian (Anne). He also leaves his sisters-in-law Phillis Gauthier, (late) George, Caroline Rowe (late) Bruce and many dear nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Visitations will be held on Saturday, January 30th, 2016 at St. Patrick`s Church, 20 Gordon street, Sherbrooke from 1:00-2:00pm, followed by the funeral Mass. Interment will be at the St. Thomas Westbury Cemetery (East Angus) in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Thomas Westbury Cemetery fund, 338 Warner Street, East Angus, J0B 1R0. (C/O Mr. Roger Heatherington) or to the charity of your choice.
We wish to thank the Sherbrooke Ambulance Paramedics and the Sherbrooke Police for their kindness and compassionate help.
