Mr Douglas Monteith

Sherbrooke, 2 November 2021

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas Monteith, husband of Suzanne Girard and son of the late George Monteith and the late Theresa MacKenzie. He passed away on November 2, 2021 at the age of 69, in Sherbrooke.

The family will welcome you at the Steve L. Elkas Complex, 4230, rue Bertrand-Fabi, Sherbrooke, on Saturday November 27, 2021 from 15:00 to 17:00 to receive sympathies. A tribute of life will follow at 17:15 at the Chapel of the Complex. You will be able to watch it live or replay via our web platform by clicking on the following link https://funeraweb.tv/fr/diffusions/40875  The ashes will be buried in the Saint-François-Xavier cemetery in Chicoutimi at a later date.

Besides his wife Suzanne, Mr. Monteith is survived by: his brother George (Mary Velocci); his brother-in-law and his sisters-in-law Girard: Alain (Jocelyne Lavoie), Lyse (Gérard Grégoire), Lizette, Marie (Aurélien Lebel).

He also leaves his goddaughters Heather Monteith (Kevin Marden) and Peggy-Anne Foster (Karine Verville), his aunt Catherine Monteith (the late William Bell), an uncle and aunts, several nieces and nephews, cousins, and precious friends.

The family wishes to thank the CLSC and palliative care staff at the Hôtel-Dieu of Sherbrooke for having sweetened his last days with serenity, love and appeasement. Special thanks go to Doctor Yoan Alder St-Germain, attending physician.
