Mr Roy Billing

Sherbrooke, 1 January 2022

It is with heavy hearts the family of Roy Billing announces his passing on January 1, 2022 at the age of 82.

Roy is survived by his wife Shirley (nee Thompson), his children Barry (Michelle), Scott (Kathy), his grand-children Hudson and Kennedy; his brother-in-law Orville Sinnott (the late Rosemary Thompson). He is predeceased by his son Shane that passed away in 1974, his
siblings Helen (Ed), Lina (Frank), Barry and Marion Richards (the late Nelson). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Roy was born on January 16, 1939 and was a life-long resident of St. Elie d’Orford. He was a successful entrepreneur; he owned and operated St. Elie Gravel pit for over 35 years. Roy was well known in the area and enjoyed socializing with family and friends. He was an avid curler enthusiast and participated in the
senior’s league at the Lennoxville Curling Club.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all that knew him.

The family would like to thank the CLSC and Dr. Bezeau for all their care and kindness.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Wales Home Foundation, 506 Route 243 North, Cleveland, Quebec, J0B 2H0 would be greatly appreciated.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday May 21, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery (1101 Hyatt, Sherbrooke, QC).
