Mrs Heather Rothney

On May 25, 2021, after a lengthy and hard-fought battle with cancer, Heather Florence Rothney of Lennoxville, QC (formerly of Inverness, QC.) ended the journey she began in 2018 when first diagnosed. Heather, born on September 16th, 1958 in Sherbrooke, QC, passed away peacefully at the Maison Aube Lumière, surrounded by family. She was the daughter of the late Bruce Rothney and Marion Kelso.

Heather leaves to mourn her two sons, Christopher and Gregory Wright of Inverness, QC; her siblings Richard (Rick) Rothney of Vancouver, BC; Karen of Vancouver, BC; Melanie of Kitimat, BC; Trudy of Victoria, BC; and the father of her two children Jim Wright of Inverness. Heather was predeceased by her older brother Kenneth (Ken) of Vancouver, BC in 2020. She leaves many nieces and nephews both here and in BC.

She cherished a special relationship with her niece Jennifer of Victoria, BC. Heather leaves as well many cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and colleagues. Heather cherished her friendship with, Brenda Trenfield, Janice Vaudry Carey and Geraldine McGurk and many others whom she
encountered during her lifetime.

Due to the COVID pandemic, a private service (by invitation) will be held at the Steve L. Elkas Complex, Sherbrooke, Quebec on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., followed by the burial of ashes at Christ Church Lower Ireland.
