Family Advisor

Responsibilities:

The incumbent’s primary duties will be to:

  • Answer the telephone (general information, reception of a deceased)
  • Advise clients on funeral services
  • Advise clients on pre-arranged funeral services
  • Organise viewing rooms
  • Assume floor duty, days and evenings
  • Computerize client files
  • Ensure the transportation of bodies and transportation in general
  • Perform the burial of bodies and ashes
  • Organise and direct funerals (Saturdays)
  • Lead the prayer at the Home and/or at the cemetery

Secondary duties:

  • Computerize client files
  • Write obituaries
  • Follow up with suppliers of bookmarks and DVDs
  • General maintenance (Home and Crematorium)
  • Any other related duties as requested

Job requirements:

  • Show initiative and possess excellent organisational skills
  • Customer service training (an asset)
  • Be trained as a deacon (an asset)
  • Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Be perfectly bilingual
  • Basic knowledge of computers (full Office Suite)
  • Advanced inter-personal skills
  • Education level: Completed high school

Salary: To be determined

Languages required: Perfectly bilingual (English and French)

Employment status: Permanent, days, evenings, weekends
