It is with great sadness that we share the news that our father, Walter Valentine, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and the music he loved on November 14, 2024.
Born into a large Irish-French Canadian family, he is survived by his many loving siblings. While he worked as a federal public servant in Ottawa, he spent the last several years in the Eastern Townships enjoying the outdoors.
Walter’s love for his two daughters Katelin Valentine (Andrew Propper) and Emily Valentine was wholehearted and unwavering. He adored his grandson Hudson, and was excited to learn he had another grandson on the way.
Walter will be remembered for his guitar playing, singing, fishing stories, sense of humour, and ability to make everyone he met feel loved.
