Mrs Tamara Lapointe

1973-2023

After a long battle of 15 months against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Mrs. Tamara Lapointe passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family, on September 24, 2023. She was the daughter of Susan Beaton and the late Royce Lapointe, as well she was the wife of Patrick Hevey.

Mrs. Lapointe is survived by her beloved nephews Nicolas Branchaud (Virginie) and Dominic Branchaud (Shayan); her sister Jennifer Lapointe (Steve), her brother James Greer (Martine), her stepchildren: Camille (Michaël), Antoine (Marie), Adrien (Sarah-Maude) and Mathieu, her great friend Julie Després, colleagues and friends from the CIUSSS, many other relatives and friends. She will also be missed by her faithful four-legged friend Léa.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Steve L. Elkas Funeral Complex (4230 Bertrand Fabi, Sherbrooke). This will be followed by a ceremony at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the complex. The family wishes to thank Roxanne Decelles, home helper, for her complicity and support, all the staff of the CHUS/CLSC/CRE for the good care provided, her neurologist Dr. Émilie Lareau Trudel for her care and professionalism and to Geneviève Morin for her presence and her comforting words. Thank you also to everyone who showed their love to Ms. Lapointe.
