Passed away on Tuesday, August 30th, 2016 at the CHUS Fleurimont, Sherbrooke, Que. Patrick Downey at 75 years of age. Patrick Downey, loving son of the late Francis Downey and the late Alice Poulin and beloved husband of Louise Bernard of Sherbrooke.
Family and friends will meet at the Steve L. Elkas Funeral Home (4230 Bertrand- Fabi, Sherbrooke, QC, J1N 1X6) on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon) followed by a service in the Chapel. Burial will be at the St-Anthony Cemetery, Lennoxville, at a later date. Mr. Downey leaves to mourn his children: Larry (Marlene Provencher), Lilly (Claude St-Hilaire), Steve (Laurie Raycraft); his grandchildren: Bryan, Jimmy, Nyla, Nelson, Ariana; his great-grandson: Julian; his brothers and sisters: Richard (Cécile Dion), Reginald (the late Kate McDonald), the late Maurice (the late Gisèle Leblanc), Lawrence (the late Jocelyne Allard), Lewis (Helen LeBaron), Lucille, Robert (Lise Simoneau), as well as his brothers and sisters-in-law from the Bernard family, many nieces, nephews, many friends and other relatives.
A special thank you to all the personnel at the CHUS Fleurimont (8th floor) for all their kind and professional care and support.
