Passed away at the CHUS Hotel-Dieu, Sherbrooke on July 1, 2022, at the age of 93. She was the daughter of the late Frederick Allsop and the late Edith Davison, the wife of the late Murray Derby and dear mother of the late Barry Derby (Carol).
Mrs. Derby leaves to mourn her children : Julie and Brian (Lucie); her grandchildren : Christopher (Chloe), Stephanie (Marc-André); her great grandchildren : Geneviève, Rowen and Samara; she was also the sister of the late Frederick, the late Eddy, the late Gertrude and her twin, the late Albert; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other friends and relatives.
Family and friends will meet at the Steve L. Elkas Complex (4230 Bertrand-Fabi, Sherbrooke) on Wednesday July 20, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. On Thursday July 21, 2022 the family will be present, at the Lennoxville United Church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM to receive condolences. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. The burial of ashes will take place at the Malvern Cemetery.
The family would like to the all the staff of the CHUS-Hotel Dieu (5A) for their kind and professional care given to Mrs. Allsop Derby.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison Aube-Lumière, 3071, 12e Ave. N., Sherbrooke, QC, J1H 5H3, would be appreciated.
