It is with heavy hearts that Josée Simard and the Symes family announce the passing of our beloved Wayne Symes, 53 years old, at the Hospital Center of Memphrémagog on July 31, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. While fighting a devastatingly swift illness, Wayne took the time and energy to teach us a wealth of insightful an invaluable life lessons.
Wayne leaves to mourn his loving wife Josée Simard. He was the cherished son of Calvin Symes and Brenda Letto, beloved son-in-law to
Jacqueline Tremblay-Simard, loving brother to Sharon (Brian) and Scott (Trudy), adored Godfather of Anika, and most treasured brother-in-law to Guy (Daniel), Lyne (Denis), Yves (Sylvie) and Joane (Vanessa). He also leaves to mourn many other family members, nieces, nephews and friends, as well as Clyde and his respected crew of Groupe Océan. Wayne is reunited with his best friend, the Late Yvan Simard.
Visitation will take place at the Steve Elkas Funeral Home at 4230 Bertrand-Fabi Street, Sherbrooke, Qc., on thursday, August 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. as well as 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, August 9, at 8:30 a.m., followed by the commemorative service at 9:30 a.m. Followed by visitation at the Funeral Home Lépine-Athos, au 1500, boul Wilfrid Hamel Ouest, Qc., from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., interment at the St-CharlesCemetery, Qc., at 3:30 p.m.
The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Unit of the Hospital Center of Memphrémagog for their wonderful care and humanity.
